We provide an array of services to local governments that enhances the well-being of their communities. We currently serve 7 counties and 19 municipalities in the High Country region. From the care of older adults to water, sewer, GIS services, transportation planning and workforce development, the Council provides services and resources which might not otherwise be affordable or available to local governments.
The Aging Agency provides support and resources for older adults through our direct services and provider network.
The Planning and Development Department provides a wide variety of technical assistance to member local governments.
The Workforce Development Board provides support to employers and individuals, while strengthening the economy.
The Economic Recovery and Resilience Department assists local governments with navigating the American Rescue Plan Act and with efforts to increase local and regional resiliency.

The members of the Council’s Executive Board are made up of delegates appointed by each respective government. It is the responsibility of the Executive Board to establish Council policy, and provide guidance to the Council Staff concerning the implementation of those policies. The Executive Board conducts public monthly meetings to address opportunities, and topics of importance to the community.
