
High Country Council of Governments will begin accepting applications for the NC Housing Finance Agency’s 2027 Essential Single Family Rehabilitation Loan Pool (ESFRLP27) program. Funding is available to provide assistance with the rehabilitation of moderately deteriorated homes owned and occupied by lower-income households located in Wilkes County. High Country Council of Governments expects to assist a minimum of two homeowners in Wilkes County through the program.
The following qualifications must be met to be eligible for the program:

The application period will open on February 2, 2026, and close at 5:00pm on September 30, 2026.
